WHAT WE DO
WHY WE USE GYMNASTICS
What better foundation for the physical health of your body than Gymnastics?
The ancient Greeks believed gymnastics to be the perfect symmetry between mind and body – advocating strongly for the coupling of physical exercise with intellectual activity.
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” – Socrates
In the modern-era, we saw Gymnastics introduced at the very first Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens. Not surprisingly, it has remained one of the staple events of the Summer Sports ever since. Dazzling the world with seemingly super-human men and women capable of performing movements that quite literally need to be seen to be believed – but don’t let that scare you off – they too started with the basics.
With all the noise in the fitness industry, social media and on magazine covers constantly trying to sell us the ‘next big thing’ in fitness. We’ve chosen to keep it simple, focus on the basics and do what works. The proven effectiveness of gymnastics training speaks for itself.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING
“I returned from living overseas in late 2017 and searched for a gym that could assist in rebuilding my health. Falsegrip offers not only strength-based classes but includes mobility and skill-based activities such as handstands, tumbling, rings, levers, pancakes and other gymnastic skills. I had no background in this type of fitness and with the community atmosphere created by the terrific coaches, who leverage the purpose built facility, Falsegrip has made a transformational change to my health.”
“When I started training at Falsegrip, my one goal was to learn to hold a decent handstand. My fitness background up until then had been long-distance running and team sports, certainly nothing gymnastics based.
There were no big promises of a handstand in six weeks – instead, there was a focus on building the necessary strength, mobility and skills that I needed to achieve my goals.
I was encouraged to be consistent and patient – but also to have fun.”
“The thing I love the most about Falsegrip is how you train your body in every way possible, using different ranges of motion and learning how to do very cool stuff. I’ve tried many different gyms in the past several years and none compare to Falsegrip. The friendly atmosphere, all the support from the coaches and from more experienced members and the amazing variety of exercises make it the best gym I’ve been too. I feel the strongest and fittest I’ve even been!”
