Gymnastics IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Our School Holiday Programs are the perfect activity for your child. We’ll help your child to develop strength, coordination, flexibility and balance in a safe and supportive environment. Learning new skills, such as handstands, will also improve their cognitive development as they’re challenged to use their brains and bodies at the same time.

GYMNASTICS STRENGTH & SKILLS

FOR 7-16 YEAR OLDS
This class focuses on learning the major movement patterns required for gymnastics. Starting off with basic skills such as push-ups and dips, and working up to skills like muscle ups on the rings and kips on the parallel bars.

These movements are the perfect cross training for other sports and general health and well-being, so this class is perfect whether your child wants to train gymnastics to a competitive level, or simply wants to increase their fitness and learn new skills.

Classes begin with a full-body warm up then moves on to strength & core training and conclude with skill work, eg. handstands and stretching.

Our coaches will always ensure that your child is doing appropriate movements based on age and ability.
No prior experience in gymnastics required.

TUMBLING AND TRICKING

FOR 7-16 YEAR OLDS
This class is about learning new skills, teaching and developing the basic elements of tumbling such as round-offs, front & back handsprings and somersaults. 

Children will train a combination of skill, power, strength and conditioning and aerial awareness to progress safely in tumbling and receive a high level of technical coaching from skilled coaches.

The mix of traditional gymnastics style tumbling and the more modern tricking style of acrobatics will provide variety, a constant challenge and keep the training interesting.

Our coaches will always ensure that your child is doing appropriate movements based on age and ability.
Children would benefit from having some prior experience with forward rolls, cartwheels and kicking into a handstand.

GYMNASTICS movement fundamentals

FOR 4-6 YEAR OLDS
This class is the perfect introduction to gymnastics. It will give kids a strong foundation in fundamental movement skills.

Your child’s development, from making friends to focusing in school, is strengthened by their control over their body. Our classes will challenge your child in a fun and engaging way, while introducing their minds and bodies to the key elements of movement.

We start with a skill-based game to help your child feel mentally ready for the session. They’ll do partner drills and games where they’ll practice values of inclusivity and compassion, to build strength and flexibility.

Our coaches will always ensure that your child is doing appropriate movements based on age and ability.
No prior experience in gymnastics required.

FAQS

A drink bottle and comfy activewear. No shoes are allowed on the blue mat, socks or bare feet only. Jewellery and other accessories must be removed and long hair tied up.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the foyer area only. Parents are also free to drop-and-go. We’re located adjacent Westfield Warringah Mall which makes for convenient shopping too. The coaches are available 15 minutes before and after class to answer any questions you may have.

Rings, boxes, ropes, p-bars, high bars, stall bars, crash mats, frisbees the handstand wall and our full sprung tumbling floor!

Yes, our coaches will always ensure that your child is doing appropriate movements based on age and ability.
