The challenge going upside down and balancing on your hands is an instant mood boost. Learning and mastering a new skill is also a real confidence boost too… warning, they’re also highly addictive.
Our beginner-friendly Handstand class, HANDSTANDone, is dedicated to giving you everything you need to go from your first attempt to skilled hand balancer. This is an intermediate level class that requires a reasonable level of upper body strength – particularly shoulder strength and mobility and core.
Not sure if you’re ready? Don’t worry – through learning the basics of gymnastics strength training you’ll gain the strength and mobility to do Handstands (and more!) in no time.
Whether you’re starting as a beginner, or you have some prior experience, our expert coaches are on hand to guide and support you and in no time you’ll have built up the strength, mobility and flexibility needed to do a Handstand class. If you have never done a Handstand before or are very new to Handstands, we recommend starting with our BASEstrong or BUILDstrong-upper class first. This will help you gain an understanding of whether your body is ready to safely participate in the HANDSTANDone class.

You will need a base level of strength & mobility to take on Handstands. This class will take you all the way from your first Handstand against the wall to your first free-standing and beyond. For those already competent in a Handstand, this class will help you build strength and refine your technique.
Take your free-standing Handstand to the next level and begin to work on entrances, shapes, press Handstand, Stalder Press and begin exploring one-arm Hand-balancing.
You’ll need prior approval from our coaches before attending HANDSTANDtwo classes.
